Continuously Define Success For Yourself

Continuously Define Success For Yourself

Yesterday was the beginning post of the series 9 Habits For Home Business Success. Today we consider the first habit; Continuously Define Success For Yourself.

What exactly constitutes success? There are several of ways it can be defined. In fact, we can all define success in several ways.

True success is different for each person. It is a highly individualized choice:

“The foundation of this question lies in defining for yourself what success means and regularly evaluating how you’re doing against your own metrics. For me, it’s based on freedom of my time and how I spend it. When I get to call the shots about when I work, where I work and what I’m doing with my time, that is success to me.” – Darrah Brustein

What do you want?

  • Freedom,
  • Status,
  • Money,
  • Fame,
  • Happiness,
  • Peace Of Mind,
  • Family,
  • Retirement.

This is only a partial list. There are a lot of options. Each one of these choices has a path. Which path will you choose? There is a price to pay for whichever path we take. Choose wisely!

Personally, I do not need or desire Jeff Bezos style wealth or fame. To me, freedom is a big issue. The freedom to live life on my terms. Very few people will recognize me in public, but that is not important to me.

Lastly, this is not a one-time choice. We must evaluate and adjust continuously throughout our lives.

What does success mean to you? After all, it is your life.
