3 Steps To Becoming A Freelance Writer
There are those who say becoming a freelance writer is easy, go for it!
The fact is that being a freelance writer is a combination of both. It is both easy and also very hard, sometimes simultaneously!
If you want to be a freelance writer, are willing to learn, grow, and work hard, the future is in your hands. It is possible to earn a very good income and enjoy the process.
This has been true for me as a freelancer. At times it has been so easy. And at other times it has been so difficult, I was tempted to walk away.
What I am doing in this series is to put together some lessons I have learned along the way. I sincerely hope these will help others who are working as a freelance writer or want to do so.
I believe that freelance writing is an excellent business and the opportunities abound!
The genesis for this series is found in illness. This is the story.
At the end of last year, I set some ambitious goals. In January, I got off to a slow start. This was discouraging to me. Then, in early February, I got a severe case of the flu. Next, I had an adverse reaction to the antibiotics which was worse than the flu itself.
The whole process gave me a lot of time to think about my life. And that was a very profitable time for me. I am thankful for the whole process because of what I discovered about myself.
Today, three months into 2017, I am starting the year all over again.
And yet, I am more bullish on freelance writing than I ever have been.
The lessons that will be mentioned in this series are hard won. I had to work to learn every one of them.
So what I have done is collect what I believe to be the most important principles to ensure success as a freelance writer. If you will absorb and apply the following principles then you will be giving yourself the best possible chance of succeeding as a freelance writer.
And you are not alone. I have worked very sparingly in the past two months. I will be applying the principles covered in 3 steps to becoming a freelance writing success.
